Here's something from the Zawinul Syndicate that hasn't been active here in at least a decade. It was shared a few times between 2008 and 2014 by moretoonz, formby1959, and Psykies who had it up here twice, and for its most recent run. I got this from the moretoonz share. Thanks to everyone who has had this running here before me. The lineage on the moretoonz share indicated "Recorded by me off air direct from the original broadcast on 9th January 1999 to a Panasonic Hi-Fi VHS video recorder in SP mode".
Joe Z worked with many fine players over the nearly 20 years of the Syndicate. This show finds him in the company of 2 of his former Weather Report employees in the forms of Victor Bailey and Manolo Badrena. Kirk Covington was generally working with Tribal Tech at the time of this show, and Gary Poulson worked with the Syndicate for a few years around this time. This show was broadcast near to the date that it was played, and at least part of it came back again on BBC near to the time of Joe's passing as something of a testimonial to him.
Audacity was used to re-track my share because Patriots was initially split about halfway through. It's now rejoined as a single track. A Mastering tool from Audacity was also employed with a light touch to help bring out a little more definition and depth.
