stratcat58 notes;
Unfortunately I don’t remember who I got this from or any other interesting details regarding lineage, etc.
Other than the fact that it was a late ‘80’s/early 90’s analog era tape trade.
I briefly considered trying to go to this show as it was on a Friday night but the logistics of trying to get out to the middle of Long Island from NJ proved too daunting for HS aged me (I didn’t have my driver's license yet).
The opening act was UFO.
The Calderone was a pretty popular concert venue during the mid ‘70’s.
It was smaller than the Beacon but still a decent sized place not that far from the Nassau Coliseum.
The Hempstead Long Island Railroad station was close by but I eventually decided I would have to be satisfied with just seeing Rainbow at the Beacon 2 days before.

PLEASE ENJOY THE MUSIC, WHILE YOU STILL CAN, BEFORE YOU'RE DEAD! AND WE'RE ALL DYING IN HERE, BUT YOU'RE NOT DEAD YET, BUT YOU WILL BE SOON AND AND WHAT GOOD WILL YOUR RECORDINGS BE THEN WHEN YOU'RE DEAD AND GONE AND YOU'RE NO LONGER HERE TO ENJOY THEM ANYMORE WITH ANYONE ELSE, SO LET'S NOT DIE WITHOUT SHARING OUR RECORDINGS...
