Notes: My wife and I decided last minute to hit Austin City Limits for a long weekend. Before this, I had little interest in Festivals, however, ACL completely changed my perception. We stayed about ~1.5 miles from Zilker Park (where ACL is located) and used free bikes provided free by our hotel for transportation. ACL has numerous stages and, our experience, you can easily see whomever artist you want. Week #2 was not streamed, for what it is worth. Honestly, there was not a bad spot as there were massive screens and satellite speakers for whatever artist you want to see. I decided to stand Front of Stack in front of the middle satellite speaker which yielded really pleasant results. My stealth AUD setup of DPA 4080 > Sony A10 does not set off metal detectors which made it extremely easy for taping. Loads of great bands over the three days but the 'one' act I wanted to tape/see (again) was Sturgill Simpson. This set does not disappoint. Whomever was in charge of the ACL schedule put Sturgill Simpson and Tyler, The Creator on at the same time. MY wife checked out some of TTCreator but I was glued to my position. Sturgill does not disappoint. Raging setlist. I made absolutely no audio edits to this recording other than fade in/out and resampling to 44.1khz from 48khz.
